What happens when you call

We start by asking what you have in mind: selling, buying or planning an exit. Then we listen before suggesting anything. For sellers, we ask about revenue, owner's discretionary earnings, lease terms and how much of the daily work depends on you personally. Those numbers drive the valuation. They also show whether a few fixes, such as cleaning up the books or getting key customers under written contracts, would raise the price enough to be worth the wait. When the business is ready to sell as it stands, we tell you that too.

Everything you share stays confidential, and we meet at our office or by phone and video, whichever keeps your plans private. Listing your business costs you nothing up front. We charge no retainers and no hidden fees, since we only get paid when the seller does. So far we have closed over $5 million in businesses sold. Buyers who register with us see new listings before anyone else.

Good to have ready before you call

  1. Your last three years of tax returns or profit and loss statements, even if they are rough.
  2. Your current lease terms, including the end date and any renewal options.
  3. A short list of equipment, inventory and anything the business owns outright.
  4. If you are buying, a rough idea of the cash you can put down and the type of business you want.
